OAlE TIME GROUP NUMBER OF OBJECTS PROJECT 10073 RECORD 2. LOCATION Switzerland 10. CONCLUSION REFlECTION PhotD anal.ysi.s indicates that the most probable cause of the licllt s streak is a reflect inn !i. LENGTH OF OBSERVATION 11. A~A!.YSIS: The color ulitlc.J of l:igh\.ray 69, vicinity of Phoenix, Arizona is a copy p:-obably from a pictura ln a magazine. It bears a registration symbol i n the upper right r.and cor.:1~r of a type usucl by professional pt1otograpl;ers. The slide depicts the phenor.:ena of a desert sunset and contain3 little more than colorful and picturesque cloud formations. At tho appro:rlm.3.te midpoiut of the slide is an o::-ang e , funnel-like mass which is prob<1bly a l."i."'lo 'pattern trailing n plume of sand/earth which has been lifted from the desert floor. A sin~lc, diagonal l i n3 .l1r.medbtely belo:r th!.s mass is probably due to poor photo processing. a . The second slide, t aken in S;ntzerland, is also a copy, alt~ough in this case the origi~al source cannot be identifie d . Tho photograph is a lo~ oblique possibly aerial in for:n.a-r. a."'ld sho..rs a viO\of ot the t:rpical mountainous terr.Un of Switzerland. The definition a."'lc! co::!..o:-rendition of the slide are at best only fair. Hithin the upper portion of the photoGaph is an oblor.g-a?pearing translucent streak which is probably due to reflection from possibly a portion of the aircraft' s surface from which the photograph)~as taken. b . ~!o items of significance were observed on either slide. Dazzling Oashet continued in four or lh : llolli:rent placet, but I still could not pick out any planc:s. Then, out o f some clouds to my rigl11 front, I saw a nother, or the same, air.chip advancing. I watched it intently, cll"tennined not to look away for a fraction of a second: I'd see what happened to this one, if I h ad to chase it. h drew steadily closer, u ntil p,.rhaps a mile away, when suddenly it vanished.
