The o:,j"3ct when first sighted seemed to ba a jet trail inasmuch it vras white in colo-e and had that general shape. \ 1hen fir3t sighted i t was inclined apprcximately 60 with the horizon. It then changed to a level position. A fe\i mo:nants later it seemed to turn end for end (still in a level position) until it bacame a small 'h'hite brilliant dot. Then 'trithout any other apparent rr.ot.io::1 it vanished. The object 1-ras under observation for about two minutes Our position of observation wa3; latitude 40 25.25' Longitude 74 13. 5' Appro~d.mate ~ltitude of sighting was 3. approximate bearing \ias 230 True . Height of observers above mean sea level was approximately 45'. Apparent distance of the object was five miles. NAturally ,.,t3 cannot be c ertain of this since its exact size is naturally unknown.
