On 18 October 1958, Mr. Who is identified above tele- phoned this District Office. He ised that at 2335 hours on 17 October 1958 he noted a round object as large as the head of a pin and blood red in color. This object wa.s about 500 feet above the ground and appeared to be on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River. The object remained in sight a t minutes. The weather was overcast but visibility was good. stated he has read a great deal concerning flying saucers and asked "why the government doesn"t tell the people all about them". 2. did not have additional information to offer and additional nvestigation w11l not be conducted by this District 3.
