It got into the hands of the Base Provost Marshal here. Suggest the following answe Our preliminary conclusion is that it was a balloon with XaNahixxtXHtgktxpzwwawl, a light, launched at ni probably from Warren, Ohio; by the Weather Bureau. Warr is about 40 miles northeast or Canton. Investigation shows that balloons were launched at Warren on the nigh' his sighting and that the PI evaUing winds were in the direction ot Canton t.rom Warren. Further, his descript. ot the object and it~ M0YE'ldKI'tS movements indicate the atrong possibilit7 that it was a balloon. We are adding his report to the many others we rece: in our continuing investigation or aerial phenomina. Thanks for send it to the Air Force. . ~ (You are probably aware that Gregory is on two or thre~ weeks leave-and we're hurting) copy reques t ed f'ROM HA14( OR OTU Ted Hieatt , ORGAHilATIOft AICO L()qA'fCIN-4X3 R~plows UA AOO Fonn ~.I Apr 41l,anc1 AFDQ J'ona l2. 10 No<r 47, wtUob _,.be a.c1 lt:UJ>HOII( Ma.j.
