After finding out that Source lived at the sheriff said that this place wa s owned women who had been involve d in a murder not long ago. He said that this women was not very r eliable end was believ~d to be operating a house of ill r epute. The sheriff said that no in format 1on should be given to this wome n about the Source. INFORMA'l' ION FROM t-IRS A check was made at the house of Mrs t o see if the Source was there. She said that she made the Source leave her house about two months ag o because he seemed to be a very odd person and she didn' t like h~ around the house. She said that he stay in the house all day and then go out at night with a telescope and stay until 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning. She gave the ne w address at where he was stayinG as Source was eventually located at this address. The Postmaste r knowin~ t ha t the S ource had no telephone number took it to h.is house a nd tried to d<3l iver the mes sage . his arriving the Postmaster heard the radio p l aying and knocke d on the door. The radio was shut off but no-one cama to the door. The Postmaster kno\"ine tha t some-one wa s home knocked at the door again. Eventually Source came to the d oor a nd inquired who was there. The Postmaster identified himself a nd stated that he had an officie.l telegram from ~nver Colorado add r essed to the Source and asked Source to open the d oor. Source refuse d to open the door zw% so the Postmas t e r d~parted wi~hcu~ delivering the message. The Postmaster then went to the neighbors' and a sked what type of ma n lived ~ there and why he would:1' t Op8 n the door. He was told by the neighbors that tha person living there was a "Queer Charecter" vsho kept the blinds closed all day and neve r l eft the house. The Postmaster then r eported this incident to t he Marietta City Poli<:e .After receiving this information the sheriff was asked to contact the City Poli~e Dept. to see i f this incident had been recorded. SOURCE'S DESCRIPl'ION OF SIGHTING: At 00\05 EST, 9 May 1958, Sour ce 'fi8S atop a bill just sout h of Marietta, Ohio when he sighted the object just north of Parkersburg, w. Va., traveling from eas t t o west. He describeo the object as having four (4) lights, ambe r -white in color, in front and one (1) bright white~ light, not flashing, in the r ear. Source s a id that the ob j ect appear~d to be approximr.tely three miles away, and the si7.e of a smell typa aircraft (?1pc:r Cub) traveling at a speed of plus or minis 50 miles per hour. Source also stot eo tha t the object did not make any s ound end that the weather was clebr with no .nnd . A check was made and it was found out that the Source had given an erroneous Address on tbe report . After chP.cki ng was made a t the new address and no one was at home. After checking with neighbors it was found that the owner of the home was at work. The owna r was contacted at his place of emp1o~nent and comformed the fact that t he Source was living at his home as a roomer .
