The press & I radio in that area also stated that the object was of meteoric On 1 3 Dec 57 an object belie\ed to be a guided missile was s een moving in a westerly direction headed tovrard the Crimea. On 14 Dec 57 a large, bright object was seen falling rrom the sky in the direction of the towns of Catalagzi and Kiliml~. Approxi- mately fifteen seconds later a second unidentified object was seen moving in a westerly direction at great speed, leaving a blue trace behind it. The latter object appeared to be moving ut thre e inches above the horizon.
