SYi'H)PSIS: advised that at approxirnatel .!?~ to 2220Z hours, 11 ~ovember 1957, while traveling with his wife, and three (3) children on u.s. i.loute 6~ from Covington, Virgiuia to t-'Jhite Sulphur. Springs, West Virginia, they sighted an object which looked like a ~ fountaia pe;i held horizontally at arm's length. The object was to the left of the high- way at a 20 to 25 angle at an estimated Azimuth of 210. The object seemed to change in color alternately from oranae to grey; the opposite end was a constadt orn~ge color. There was no unusual noise. Cei.lino: Clear Sky Visil>ility: 15 r.li les Cloud Cover: advised that there are no weather facilities iu the f.Jhite Sulphur Sprinus, Hest Virginia area, but that all weather stations around the area reported clear sl<ies with ilO restrictions to visibility. l!e stated that, iat his opiaion, tl1e weather a"d wirtds would be very similar to that of Charles ton, nest Virginia in '~hite Sulphur Springs at the particular time the o1Jject nllegedly was sighted, He further odvised that he could not account for the si{}hting a,td that there had hot bee1t any u,lusual or any kuown activity that could explain the sighting. cc: Comdr, 783rd AC&l'!
