Mystified a t what they saw, the family secured a motion pictur e and a flash camera and ,Proceeded to take pictures o f the strange white objects. j The film and prints were submitted t o the Air Force ior examination. A large number of enlargements were made from the blac~< and white prints, These showed emulsion flaws, that appeared to be fireflies, out-of-focus shots of leaves and other objects, and srr.all white, sh::tped objects near the horizon t!-lat were definitely airborne . T:"l.e Smrn motion picture was in color. This, t~n, would a?parenUy indicate with ~finality the nature and existence oi the UFOs. The film was projected on the screen a ;,d the object3 appeared to be similar in shape and movement to those of t!-le "Tremonton Incident". Micro -photografhs were made of the be 3 t frames and the general a?pearance ,, ttll prevailed. It was established that the :3ightin6s were oba~rved in the direction of a U. S . Army Proving Ground area a few mile.:> away. Further investigations definitely c on..firmed that between the 6th and 12th of the month, large scale rehearsals and operation.; were ta dng place in the proving-ground area, as part of a joint-defen~e pr oble rr.. A consider able amount of artillery, mortar :tnd anti-airc raft, rocket fire, tracers, and flares, including dropping of parachute types, E:lled t~e sky during this period. Aircraft participated.
