Source a statement that the camera was not moved does not appear "talid: a stationary, time -e:cposure of the moon would have been shovn as one continuous li~e. Two directions of the moon are indicated on the ph~tograph. b. Both enlar ta sbov a slender-like item, above and extending ou d traa the middle ot the abject. c. The moon path appears broken both in direction and exposure time. The moon ap~ears as t~o, possibly three, separate images ra er than a single ~ide line. This shews a. lapse of title betveen separate exposures of possibly 2 -3 minutes, a sufficient . lsngth of time for removal of the c amera, a second superimposed exposure to be Tade, and the c . a returned to nearly its origir~ p osition. Dear Colonel T~cl~er, I in receipt of ~rour letter of 9 Dccc:nber, a~ the tlro glossy print~ of the .\vno car. I understand you are not to release UFO case photos as they are returned to tho o ner. I find this difficult to reconcile. 1-r.l.th t'\-.\> distinct cases l'lhich have noit come to my attention, and on \rhich I \,'Ould appreciate any conrr.ents or conclusions. First, you note arc not frullliu.r ui th the name of I~s took a photo era ph on 16 JanuP.ry 1957, ppears on page of your book, clearly lc.belcd as a hoax. I quite agree, as I pointed out in r~ earlier letter, althouch our a r.alysis '\tas not so complete as the Air Force one, a.nC. did not in:lude the coiling lines, etc. l.'hat puzzles me is ho.r you can include thl.s photo \rlthout even kncr.r.ing the o1.ner and, incidentally, copyright holder of the photograph. If' you didn t lmo\-t this, ho\t could the photograph be returned to the orit;i.nal 01:ner as soon as the a:naly'sis r.as been caapleted L~r second cace refers to that photoera.~;h taken by of Denvil J e, Her Jersey, and \:hich lrc sent to ~TIC in Hay 1 9.
