The 09/ohOOZ Sighting wa not, related to the e ther sighthin~J it definitely was a meteor. 2. The 10/023SZ sighting was not reported by sources in the ATIC forms. (Several copies of the ATIC Forms were sent to each source and they were asked to c omplete a rorm for each sighting.) 3. The ATIC Fona 164 description of the ll/0231Z ~i,,hting indicates that this sig-t ir was possibly caused by a blicopter. a. A briet description or sighting from ATIC Form is as follows: Objeet vas aolid red when stationary and red with a t-Jh..i..t e middle when moving . Objeet tranrelled from NE to R on a slightly ascending flif!ht path . Durinr. its course, object hovered in one spot for appreximately B minutes. Objeeu llas viewed visually tor a total 1St lS minutes and disappeared by its light suddenly eoing out. rr?sound was healtd due to distance away from object. ( AF Fonn ll2 ~eports tha t a sound re~ernblin g a lelocoptblt vas heard. ). In light of above considerations and the vind direetio~, evaluation of thi s sighting is possibl y aircraft (helocopter)
