Hs observed the object some 20 to .30 seconds durir'J; ilhich tima it climbed apurox:i.m.ately 2000 f e e t and when it p a ssed his aircraft it was, in his estimation, approximately 2000 feet west of his po~ition. _h.t this time Najor Oelker banked his aircraft very sharply in an at.tempt to follcw the object, a t the same time calling t~e matter to the CJ.t.te ntion o:f Jajor Zimmerman.
