Dr. Fredrickson stated that Venus is always seen in the ~,::?stern sl<y, normally no higher th:m 45 from the horizon. Venus ssts bet'...-ecn 0300Z and 0400Z at this time of yeai. Just prior to setting, Venus appears to b econe reddish, si ... ilar to the color of the sun, when it sets. Venus i s the brig~tcst obj~ct:. in the sk,y (excluding the moon d sun) and is often seen by la~ as un~sual phcno~encn due to its b rilliancy and apparent lar~eness.
