Lt.~.~ant.. with statl.on at the 46th Precinct, ?.120 Rptr Avenue, Bro,u, ~!ew tor!c advised the.t at 2210 hours Zulu time (1710 East~rn ~tandard time), l~S.J, 1-llile riding in a bus from Idlewi.ld Aitport to J!lln&ica, lTew York, in a northerly direction, he observed six (6) flying obje~ts in flightb of three (J) each, with one (1) flight above the other, hoveriug over Idlewild Airport at approxiJr.ately eight tl1ou9and (P.,OOO) teet, and that they gave the appearance ot a fo~ation resembling ,., Blim~s (see illustration No. 1 below for one of the objects). ted that in view of the bus bei~ in motion and making turns, he n able to make t1 {2) additional sightings before the objects were lost from vie~ by buildings. During the course of all ob3ervat1ons, theee objects reuined in the same formation. On the second o'>servation, each object appeared to have two (2) relatively large are.:.1.s of 1-lhi.tc light with a solid non-lighted area in the center, and that the top portion or each object a~ared to be that of an invert.ed k&:il Jf a sliil- boat or or the upper portion of a blimp's rudder ( se9 illust.rat1 on ;Jo. 2 below tor sketch of one or the objects).
