Pcdenen, Kaster, reports the following radar observations obtained on the southeast eoast of Arabia: On November 1, 1953, at 2245 G. M. T. in ap_proximatc posi- tion lat.19='08' N., Jon. fi848' E., the coaathne of Barr al Hikman, bearing 827 32 miles distant, showed a well deftned outline on the radar ~ercen, while the hills on aouthem Kaairah Island near Ra's Abu Raaas, bearing 340, only 18 miles distant gave very weekreturna. On a former voyage It was noted that the hills on northern I 1\Iaslrah pve very weak returns while the coastline of the main- land pve a sood return up to 30 miles.
