The following sightings were made in Ru:ssian from November 19.52 to ZO Febryary 1953. ll During the nights of 19 & 20 Nov and again on 8 & 12 Dec 52. unusual optical phe- . in the' toni of ligbta were observed in northern RU!Isia. The objects changed c:Olor !rem red to wh:1te to green and were observed high i n the sky pursuing an elliptica l course. On one occ:ssion one of the objects vas observed cending into the a1 r centered in several light beams directed vertically upward . J.a.ter the bc.arn.s ot light disappeared and the object, giving o! light signals, reamincd in the aiJ.~. 2) On 6 Dec .52 a cigar shaped object new at tranendous ~peecl f rom a n u1theasterl y toward.obeervera, ascending in the sky as it pursued its course.
