Discussion ot Incident Although the Haxwell Rad.i o Range S t atton report ed no known aircraft other than the B-47 1n the area ATIC !eels !hat on the basis of the description sub- aitted by the two relatively inexperienced observers, they probably sighted a tir;hter type aircratt, possibly an F-E6, maneuvering in the air space below the B-b7. To support this conclusion is :he rae~ that the clouds mentioned in the oricinal report around which the obje~t was sighted, were determined to be at 000 tt. A~ this altitude a tight~ aircraft would be hard to distinguish. the observers did state, however, that the object appeared to have swept-back .11. Conclusion Poaaibl7 aircratt. UNa.ASS\F\ED
