Dlacusaion of Incident two c-S4a froa Qoose AlB were in the area at the approximate t.ime ot eight- inc. one ot these aircraft MU observed by the F-94, the other wae not. However, the unidentif"itd object could not be the unobserved c-$4 due to the apeed tac:tor. 'l'he F-94, at, l7S knots, coulcl have overtaken a c-~. There ...ay have been a balloon lauqcb at, 2100Z lror:a Coosa. Air Weather Service but here again there is a conflict becaue the object. vaa alchted at 231SZ, two hours alter laWlch. An astronomical explanation does no\ ring true aince it 1a improbable that atrs and eteora can be recorded by around radar or airborne radar.
