Xo Air TeohD1oal Intelliaenoe Center, Wr1gntPatteraon Air Poroe Base, Attention -AFOIN-ATIAA-& Subjeot -Twin Object aignted 1n White Plaina 7/17/52 I a enoloaiDg with this letter ano~er sketch ! have drawn or the twin objeota I sighted aDd reported to Day-ton, O.bio July 29. In my preYloua a~toh I sent along with my tilled out quest1onna1r~ August 9, I drew onl7 tho first phase ot the right angle turn the sa twin objects took, as I didn't know at the t1t.'1e how to sketch the ditterent phasea these objects presented without contusing evoryoue. Stnce tnen, I rocall that the last disk disappear~d at a higher lo- cation 1n the sky, making it leso d1tt1cult ror me to sketch these d1.tterent phases these twin objects presented in making that right angle turn. Furthermore, up until now I could not understand why these twin objects , wblch were pert~ot circles at all ttmes, did not tak~ the logloal fora ot an elongated ellipse Wl1ch one would expsct th~ to take in maklng that turn. After atud7ing a sketch ot what I actually aaw, I haTe corte to the conclusion that what I sa"N wer$ objoota spherical in form. ~o doubt you ha.e already arrived at that aame conclusion. I haYe numbered on this sketch the different phases these twin objeota p~esented, and a description ot each follows: Pig. 1. Tbia abowa the beginning of the right angle ~rn, at Which time the circles appeared at their largest size, reminding one of two large Ferris \Yneels made or crysta~. It th1a atag that I noticed so.e sort ot framework att3ched to tb$ two spheres, but no attac~nt, were Tisibl~. I a1l'llply sa\Y the top bar and lett cornor of fra~work which to be ot a solid dull pale gray mate~1al. This top bar and corner or frame was well defined against th~ pal~ blue slq. The width ot this framework ill my s\{etch is approxiately cor~oct 1n relation to the dimension3 or these spheres. I also noticed at this point that the bar ac~ons the back ot these spheres seeaad shorter 1a length than the oYerall ~asurement and besides placed al1ttle low~r than the top of spheres. This tact no donbt accounts for m~ seaing only two cirol~s up to this point. T.he whirling sound I had been hearing fro~ th~ beginning seemed to increase 1n sound, with another type or ~o,tlld added, as tnougb some other torm or machiner,r had been aet in motion to make this right angle turn.
