Entire surtace covered w/bl ek polka dotted spotra. No exhause or vapor trail, except a wath like a very weak rainbow. No sound. It was disclosed tha t on 24 July 1951, was driving north on in U. S . Higha7 No. 1 towards the toll brtdg8 at Portaouth, Hew 1M ire. 'lbe object was traveling boca eaat to west at an es ti=ated elevation ot 1,000 2 000 teet, and at a speed ot 800 to 1,000 m}il. ibe d escription given by i s as follows t A long tube with a fin construct1on on one e nd, 100 to 200 teet long, wi tb a thickitess ot 1/5 the length. The object reseabled fused glue, being grayish to invisible in color. 'lhe entire surface was covered wi tb black polka dotted spots. ihere was no exhaust or vapor trail, excepttng a swath resembling a very weak rainbow. There was no sound eJD&nating trom the object. The sighted object was in view tor approximate~ 20 seconds, at whicb point it d v~ quickly, as though it bad gone into a cloud bank. advised that he is familiar with the contents or AFOIC..CC-1 Letter, dated 8 Septerabe~ 1950, de~ling with the reporting ot sighting ot tmconven- tional aircratt through military channels through Air rJateriel C oromand.
