They saw two f l y _n g discs. I aid not see them myself , but nav~ been watching with I'4Y crunera in hana, hoping t ."ley might appear a gain. I called each one lndividually in~o a r oom and asked tr1ern to describe what tney saw. ,t;acn o n e seemed to have seen exactly the same the ground it wa s not ~uite dark but tuere were no star s vis- ible in t h a sky as yet. Howe v er, the sun had set beyond the horizon. There was n o red sun-se t in the sky. '.L'he sky was blue with a few scattered clouds. These objects came whirling out of t11e soutneast and tra veled n 0rth we st. ~oth discs followed one ano ~..~.er i n exactly the s9.I!le track across the sky. 'fhe t:1ree saw t nern were looking i n a souLnerly uirection. ':'hey des- cribed t n em as follows: The discs appeared t;O t 1 em to be slightly larger t11an a full moon. They were pure wni t ~ and gave tne appearance of ha vin."; cone a v e d depth. They were whlrli!lf;, o r spinning , in i;h~ s ame direct;_on in which they were traveling , and a~ a terrific speed as i f being rolled across the sz<y. 'rne uiscs being sno w whit~ stood out a gainst a very blue sky. The outer-rounaed e dge seemed solid but not sharp, due to t;he whirling motion. The fir s t disc ~eemed to have a bluish snadow in the cente r or was tra.1.1sparent, but tne second one was solia white. They sped across tne sky and dis- appeared behind. a white cloud . The folks waited to see t n em c ome out ot the cloud bank uut t hey did not reappear. Either they dissolved in the cloud, or turned in such a direction tnat they were obscure d by tne cloua. They had a rather eerie and awesome effect on the thre e W.t1 0 witnessed the spectacle. The young man is t h e son of our t!inister, Reverend Ernest ortchester, New York, and is a concert pianist of considerable reputation. \Jhen you know him, you would not doubt his veracity. He was the first to see t h em and he attracted the attention of my wife and daughter. Most certainly, my wife and thirteen year old aaughter would have no reason to prevaricate. All t hrE..e were out walking a new d o g which we recently purchased for our uaughter. These thre e are r' el Ca =ne ol tile U..._. Sta._ lrM zl lanar lan ...._ .. a... ouHk .. per Preelclet ,. Another strang e thing that has happened: ~1. L . N. A. , our local radio station, is located on the hil l opposite to wn13ra our home is located. They leave -cne air at 8 :00 p . m, every ev~nin ls about 45 minutes oefore t h e d.:.scs were seen. Tht; cloud lnto which they disap::>eared was almo s t a::>ove t11e svation' s antenn a . The station has n o t been functioning properly. Hm1ever, it ':1 as supposed to be OK on Saturday morning following tne appearauce of the d~s cs. Yesterday, I had two pro g r ams on .,{. L . 1~. A. Ordinarily the station is wonoerful; but Sunday sotlleth.Lne was tne rnatter and the trouble could not be located. This morning (:;lon,J.ay), they still have not lo~a-ced the dll.ficulty. One of my broadcasts was transcri .Jed on a ~ush tape. VIe made the recording Friday afte r - noon and when we irn::1ediately played it back, it was perfectly all right. But when it went on the Air Sund it was distorted. Later, at 6 :45 p .rn. (Sunaay), I had o n tne Air in a personal studio appearance. Again the reproauction was bad on our home radio; according to those wh o ~Jere listeninfj. At the station, I had asked the engineer to make a tape of our broadcast and we played it back afterwards ana i ~ was also badly distorted. My thought in telling you t his; could it be possible tnat tnese discs were electrical phenoMenon of some sort t nat has magret ized the station's equipment and tapes, or is it some s ort of atoMic energy that is loose and loading thing s with radio active 'iJaves, or sanetHing designed to block radar? This is just a wild guess. If t his same pattern has ha.:-pened elsewnere, then it might aad up to sometlll.ng. rr you want further information, contact us.
