UNCLASSIFIED SUBJECT: Project "SIGN" ommanding General Air Materiel Command Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Dayton, Ohio Attn: UCIAX0-3 Commanding General Continental Air Command l'itchel Air Force Base, New York Attn: Director of Intelligence Chief of Staff United States Air Force Washington 25, D.c Attn: Dir of Intell, Requirements Div Commanding General Fourth Air Force Air Force Base Hamilton, California Attn: Director of Intelligence In compliance with par. 1, ConAC Letter 200.1, 25 Mar 48 , and par. 5 and 6, Letter Fourth Air Force, file OI-350.09/2, dated 18 Feb 49, the following additional information, as relayed to t his head- quarters via the District Intelligence Officer, Thirteenth Naval District, is submitted relative to subject matter contained in class- ified message, this headquarters, 25 ADD 71, dated 20 July 1949 : hours or 1430 and 1530 1949 , the wife College of 1 on, Pullman, Hashington, sighted an objec , described by her as appearing to be a halo, spinning end over end, not in the plane or the disc surface, and moving rapidly in a general easterly direction. The halo, she believes, must have rotated with the object itself, for she received the impression that the two were combined. This report tallies with an item published in the Pullman on 15 July, which reported an incident occuring on the afternoon of 12 July. A group of three men reported the incident and described the object as having been "big, shiny, and floating ~UNCLASSiFlED ONCLASSlF\~.
