I' PHYSICAL. EVIDENCE On Jal.7 8, 1949 between the hour of 6:30 and 7:00 A. n. my wife end I were fishing from a rubber boat on the north end of Shoehone Lake in Yellowstone Park, when I heard what sounded like the whir of ducks wings. I said to my wife listen, what is that sow1d, on looking strai~ht up over our heads, I should say 800 t o 1000 feet, there were eight objects a ppe aring to be round and I would say a bout 20 feet in di~etor, and very bright metal like bri~ht alumin~, sailing as I have se.iled a lid from a cnn r.liLllY tir.les. They were not in forrMtion but reminded ~e of a flock of blackbirds in a group some above and some below e nch other. There wao no smoke or exhaust of any l:i nd, it wa s a beautiful clear morning ~d the sun was shining brieht. I t t here had beon any exhaust we 1t0uld surely have seen it. They did not sail on a level course but seemed to eo up and down just like some of the smaller birds f~ when in a group. Th~y were going very fast and if they had not been directly over our heads we would never have heard or soan them because we were watching t b e water. There was no sound of a motor. When the disc sh8pe objects were about over t he center of tte lake one ot ther:1 turned completely over sailing in a.moung t~ res t of them without coming in contact with the other objects. Th~looked the SRIJ\8 on both sides but I eould not tell how thick the7 ere, but judging from the diameter they are large enough to have one or more men aboard. l.f8ll3' times when I was younger I have taken a flat round lid or hea~ cardboard and threw it to see what turns it would make. This 4!ac object turned completely over nnd sailed throueh the "ir ns if the air current had changed its course. Just before the disc~tent out ot sight the one on our right turned on its edge and sailed down and awq from the rest. I have seen jet planes snd know about there speed but these objects were just aa raat it not raster. I have been kidded about seeing thinge and having to much to drink. But the sky was cleAr nnd the sun shone bright. \"/e had had a good nights rest and nothing but good clear water to drink. M7 wife and I saw these eight metal objects it we ever saw anything in our li vea. l~y opinion ia that they are controled by some device some where out aide of the disc ita salt and there is no man aboard, even though they are large enough to carry a man. I think there ia some device thnt keeps them !rom collding with each other, and my opinion is that they belong to the United States Government, because it the7 did not, the U. s. Government would eoon find out where Ule7 'saucers' WASHINGTON (AP)-Alter ebec:klnl up on 375 rumon of weird and wondroua aiehts In the aky, the Air Force hu con- cluded that there aren' t any "Flylne Saucers." It took two years, a apecial team from the USAF' s science ataU, and help !rom university conaultanta to track down the rumon of atrange disc whiz- Zinl throueh the air. The Air Force last aprine 10u1ht to ahoot down the fly- inl discs rumors with a long, detailed discussion of the whole history of the rumors. It devot- ed a portion of that report to explaininl why visiton weren' t likely to arrive from other 1 planets on apace ships. 1 Arnone other thines, the re- port questioned the possibility of the existence of men even on 'the relatively near planet of Jdara. Even if men were there, the USAF doubted that they vere a "technically established r,.ce,'' able to build space ahips . CMIIP Of ADMIN.
