The object 1 appeared as a blue-green "tloon" and was estirra ted betwe en 1/ ~ and 2/3 of the size of the d iamater of the moon. It appeared : 5 deg below the star Altair in the bend of the handle of tt.J Big Dipper. Tne object moved in Southerly direction through about 20 deg of arc in 3 to 3 1/2 seconds and disappear ed bh~t aHa ;a roof of a hOJ.l'tS8. lhlike the usual fireball, the a ppear->lCC was not accompanied by a hissing soW'd nor was it followed OJ' any thunder sound.
